You are incredibly powerful

Hello and welcome back. I am as always grateful to those of you on this journey with me as we learn to navigate our journey with peace, love and joy, regardless of the challenges we may face.

I regularly mention how powerful each of us are and I am revisiting this topic again as I think it is so important. We often feel at the mercy of life and what is happening to us and around us. We almost get dragged around like we are in a current of water that we cannot control.  We can get caught up easily in emotions and a flight or fight mode, having forgotten the power that we hold.

Everything is energy and this means that our thoughts and our words help shape what we create. The universe does not have a sense of humour, so what you send out the universe works to bring back. Pay attention to your thoughts about yourself and others. If you are in a negative state of mind most of the time, then the universe will bring you more of the same. If you can become aware of your thoughts and look to see the positive and spend time in gratitude, then the universe will bring you more to be grateful for.

Your thoughts and words about others also go out to the universe. Not only is that negative energy being sent towards the other person, but this will also come back to you. This power can be a wonderful gift or a dangerous weapon. Knowing how energy works however we can now choose consciously to come from a space of love for ourselves and others.

With other people, coming from a space of love does not mean condoning negative behaviour. It simply means that you keep yourself in a space of love. You can step away from the person, you can speak calmly and firmly. If they are angry, know they are hurting. If they are putting you down, they themselves are down. From this space we can step away, protecting our energy and send them love quietly and from a distance. This practice is a loving gift to yourself and the energy of love to the other person may help in the beginning of their healing journey on some level. As we each have free will, that decision is ultimately up to them.

Becoming conscious of our thoughts and words is very important but this alone does not mean that challenges will not arise. This is where our next power comes in and that is how we choose to react. So, while we may not be able to control what happens to us, we always have the choice as to how to handle it.

When facing a challenge, I would suggest, no matter the situation, the first thing is to be very present in the moment and take a few deep conscious breaths to bring some space to the situation and then come from a place of love. Your response has the ability to soften and calm situations, confrontations and negative people.

For the next few weeks, I would suggest giving focus to your thoughts and words. Notice how many negative thoughts arise. If you are aware in this manner and a negative thought arises you can simply cancel that thought and replace it. Be mindful of your words. There is nothing wrong with pausing and taking a breath before speaking or reacting.

You are far more powerful than you have been taught.

I wish you much love and light and I look forward to the next post.

Michelle
