Can you see me?
Hello and welcome back. I am as always grateful to you on this journey with me as we look to find a path where we are grateful, see the blessings in the simple things in life and embrace the joy of every moment.
We live in a very fast paced world these days, where a quick fix is seen as the solution. When we want something, we often desire it straight away. Amazon does an amazing job in fulfilling our purchases in a very short space of time and I am guilty of using this fast-tracked system. Microwave meals and fast foods feel like we have an opportunity to create space, although not often the healthiest option. We may judge others quickly; we may label people or children into a group.
The concern I have in our quick fix society way of living is, are we really seeing and listening in each moment and to each other? I truly feel for the young children of today and yet I believe they are here to make a difference and shake up a system that needs to be overhauled. More and more are being labelled as neurodiverse. Labels such as ADHD have become very common over time. We expect young children from 4 and 5 years old to sit for 7 hours a day, 5 days a week, to be well behaved and follow instruction and if they don’t, the quick fix solution is to medicate them. Perhaps it is the system that needs to be questioned.
One label for many different personalities, one label for many different beings with unique gifts and talents. Every child, every being, every beautiful soul that has been brave enough to come to earth at this tumultuous time is here to bring about positive change, to help show that the systems in place need to be changed. To finally see each being for who they truly are.
I would love to see a world where we stop with the labels and start to see each being as unique, where we stop trying to put people in a category, but where we truly give the time to hear them, listen to their story, be there for them and truly see them for who they are. If you take that time, you will realise that one label does not fit all.
Everyone has a story, everyone has had ups and downs through life, that is part the journey.
For the next few weeks, I would suggest becoming very aware of any label you may want to give to any being, no matter the age. Give time to realise they are different to another. Their story is different, their past is different, they just want to be seen.
You are far more powerful than you have been taught. So too is every soul going through their own unique experience here. No labels are required; it is time to be seen for the being that you are and allow others the same in kind.
I wish you much love and light and look forward to the next post.
Michelle
