You always have a choice

Hello and welcome back. I am as always grateful to those of you who are on this amazing journey with me. If there is a topic or question you would like me to address please always feel free to email me at michellesenergyhealing@gmail.com . I would be more than happy to share my thoughts.

While we are presented with many challenges in life, we always have a choice as to how we handle these situations as they arise. Each time we are challenged, this is an opportunity to learn and grow. We are not here to deny our emotions and try to be or present ourselves as the perfect human. Our emotions are an energy form that is there to guide us. They allow us the opportunity to release them, this may be through tears, through writing, through discussion, creativity or perhaps yelling into a pillow. These are healthy ways to release the emotional energy that we may currently feel. When we bottle these up and do not find a healthy way to release them, or allow them to take us over, it is then that we can create an issue in our energy field and this, if unaddressed will eventually affect our body. When there is an issue in the body, which is so very clever, it is again trying to communicate with you, just the message is now much louder.

Many people operate on an autopilot mode and repeat the same patterns of handling challenging situations. They are in some level almost asleep without being consciously aware that there are choices that can be made. We often react very quickly in this mode. An upsetting comment, a rude customer, or perhaps someone cut you off in the traffic. We may go straight into a defensive mode, a silent mode or an angry and resentful mode.

As you go on this journey of awakening to how incredibly powerful you are and just how clever your body is you can start to become more in tune with your emotions, your ability to be aware of your reactions and choices made as to how to handle the situation.

I had some challenging days myself in the past week or so and I happened to come across a really positive line to say which I found very helpful – “I see the test and I choose peace”. As we often find ourselves repeating similar situations which I believe are life lessons that we have agreed to learn and overcome on this journey. In the situation I found myself in I could feel the tension in my body and the desire to run from the situation. It was then that I remembered this line that I had recently heard. I took several deep slow breaths, brought my attention completely to the present moment, stopped worrying about the outcome and said multiple times “I see the test and I choose peace”.

This is a choice all of us have. We can continue to run on autopilot, get stressed, become filled with anger and let the emotion consume us. Or we can become present, feel the emotion, release the emotion in a healthy way if required, breathe deeply and choose a path of peace.

I suggest, if you so choose that over the next few weeks you give attention and awareness to how you react or handle a situation when a negative emotion arises. Notice what caused the emotional reaction, has similar happened previously, become present and be aware that you can choose differently.

While we cannot control everything that happens to us and around us, we can certainly control how we react and handle it. This is why two people can have the same experience but a completely different end result. Living from a place of peace and love and learning to recognise and release emotions in a healthy manner means that your body remains healthy and strong.

I wish you much love and light and look forward to the next post.
