Letting go of control and regaining your freedom

Hello and welcome back. I am as always grateful to those of you on this journey with me as we discover how to navigate life in the best possible light and with positivity, particularly when we are confronted with challenges and often chaos around us along the way.

Because of my nature I always like people to get along, and I enjoy the peace and calm in my world. However, what I have learnt is that life still likes to present challenges, which I believe is part of the learning experience we accepted by coming to Earth school. So, the question becomes what do you still try to control in your own life? Is it a family gathering, is it pleasing others when you may not feel like it, or are you trying to present a picture to others that may not be completely honest with what is truly reflective of your inner world? Are you true to yourself in your workplace, or are you trying to please begrudgingly?  Do you have expectations on your children to behave in a certain manner or achieve certain results?

For me personally, I realised that I try to control situations I am presented with in the calmest manner possible, because that is to my liking. This however, often backfired and  it occurred to me that maybe I was not allowing things to unfold as they are meant to. Perhaps my intervention is not helpful to the outcome of others. I learnt that I could remain calm as others express themselves in the manner that they choose and that my sensitivity to heightened emotions or outcomes is actually mine to deal with. We need to allow space for others to work through their relationships and emotions as well and not have the expectation that everyone have the same outlook that we have.

For the next few weeks, my suggestion is to pay attention to what you may be trying to control and why. Remember the universe likes to give us tests and challenges along the way to see how we are growing and what we have learnt. When you can accept that there are situations where you are trying to control others or outcomes, then you can take a deep cleansing breath and release the need to have everything go exactly as you hoped. Use the tools you have learnt to remain centered and calm and then let go and trust the universe. Remember everyone has their own free will, their own life lessons and situations to experience. We are creators of our world, but that does not mean we can control other people and situations.

You are more powerful than you have been taught. This power lies within. Letting go of trying to control situations and outcomes is extremely freeing. Everything is energy and we are all connected. If you feel at a loss with others or outcomes then send love, visualise a positive outcome and then let the universe listen and respond.

Please remember that everyone is at a different stage of this learning adventure, but ultimately, we are all on the same journey, just perhaps on different timing. We are eternal beings experiencing a human existence. Each one of us is here to learn, experience, and grow in our own divine timing.

I wish you much love and light and look forward to the next post.

Michelle
