There is a better way

Hello and welcome back. I remain as always grateful to those of you on this journey with me as we traverse the challenges that life presents us with while coming from a space of peace and love.
The majority of us spend more of our waking hours in the workplace each week than we do with family, friends or following our personal interests. We do this because of the way the world is currently operating, and this requires us to earn money to pay for the bills, put food on the table and have a roof over our head. Even with a job, people have ended up living in tents given the high cost of living and often limited affordable rental availability. As a result of this there are now more and more people questioning if there is a better way. Thankfully, the answer is yes absolutely.
Firstly, I highly recommend making the space you call home, a sanctuary that you look forward to coming home to. You may have some soft hertz music or gentle healing tunes playing softly in the background. You may light a candle or burn some incense. Give the TV the night off from programs and news, put your device down and see how much time you free up. It is very liberating and calming and by giving thanks and gratitude for these peaceful moments, the universe will listen and continue to bring this peace and calm to more areas of your life.
I understand that when we have a young family, this may seem challenging. I have myself been through this and suggest taking off your shoes with your kids, connect to the earth in the backyard and get some sunshine while you throw the ball or fly a kite. Something so simple, gives you quality time with your loved ones, helps all of you to be recharged by the earth and your aura cleansed and mood uplifted by the sun. This is also a great way to encourage the kids away from their devices as well.
Outside of balancing work with home life, my question would be, are you following that which brings you joy? Do you study or have activities that you are passionate about in your life? Are you happy with your day-to-day life? If not, what would a day that brings you joy look like? When you have free time with no commitments or chores to attend to what do you like to do? That is the starting point. It may be painting, playing a musical instrument or writing. The more you follow that which brings you joy, that which you are passionate about, the more this joy will flow through into other areas of your life.
For the next few weeks, I suggest asking yourself before you do something, does this bring me joy or is there a way I can bring joy to the activity? It may be hanging out the washing, and you decide to listen to the birds and feel the sun on your back as you do so. You may be vacuuming the house and decide to put on some of your favourite music to dance or move to as you clean. There are ways to bring joy into even the most mundane activities. In the workplace you can look for ways to bring in some laughter or just take the time to connect with a co-worker. Without the pay, I do not think too many of us would turn up voluntarily, so we may as well make the most of things with those of us going through the day together.
You are more powerful than you realise and by taking steps to bring in these positive changes, these moments of calm and those things we are passionate about we help to bring in more of the same.
I wish you much love and light and look forward to the next post.
Michelle
