The Quiet Magic of Ordinary Moments

Hello and welcome back. I am as always grateful and honoured to be on this journey with you as we find ways to reconnect to our inner joy, peace and calm within.

There appears to be much stress and tension in the day to day lives of many at the moment and it feels like time is speeding up and the months and years seem to slip away quickly. I notice that many people seem to be focusing on the next thing that they believe will bring them joy or happiness. When we are at work we often just want to get to home time. We then count down to weekends, holidays, any moment where we feel we can get a chance to relax for moment. We want to finish our studies, get the dream job, find the perfect partner, and then there may be a car or home that we desire.

There is nothing wrong with goals and dreams, in fact I highly encourage them. Please remember however that the destination that you are wishing time away for, while it may bring you joy when you achieve it, this joy is only temporary. It is the journey that counts. I believe that part of our learning while we are here is to find the joy, the calm, the peace and love that resides within us all right here and right now. We can access and connect to this energy at any and all times.

Lets say it is a Monday morning, the work week is about to begin, and you have holidays in 3 weeks. Are you focused on the holiday, thinking that you just need to  hang in there a bit longer or can you bring yourself to the present moment and connect to your joy within?

You may find yourself in a traffic jam, you just want to get home, you feel the tension rising as you sit in what feels like a carpark on the highway. How do you handle this? Do you allow the tension to creep in, perhaps you have impatience rising? I understand if you do, because I have been there too.

As co-creators however the energy that we are vibrating at in each present moment, is shaping your future moments. This means that it is important for us to become very aware of our thoughts, our words and our emotions in each moment, and not spend it waiting for a future destination point.

For the next few weeks, if you find yourself wishing for a future event, please feel free to try some of the following suggestions to see if they assist. Please take or leave what feels right for you. On waking up, leave your devices alone, even if just for a few minutes. Breathe deeply and focus on something you are grateful for. If there is tension, anxiety, or any feeling of dread about the day, visualise breathing in beautiful golden white light and breathe out the negativity. Affirm that today will be a great day filled with many moments of joy.

As I get ready for work and as I drive to work I send love and positivity to my being, to my loved ones and I give thanks for all the positives in my life. On my drive home, no matter how the day went, I now spend time driving home giving thanks to everything I am grateful for. By the time I get home, I am truly very grateful for how blessed I am and to be honest if I had given time instead to the day I just had, I would not be in the same positive space.

During the challenges that present themselves on some days, I remind myself there is a bigger picture that we cannot see, perhaps we are being guided towards a new path. I do believe that our energetic vibration in that moment shapes the future ones.

These simple practices of gratitude, of remembering there is a bigger picture than we may be aware of and that we have this amazing gift to connect to inner peace, love and joy if we so choose is truly and amazing gift we have been blessed with.

You are more powerful than you have been taught. If you are still reading, I am so grateful and I thank you. I believe we are here to bring about positive change in our personal lives and then light the path to help guide others, We are all connected and as a log begins to burn, those ones around it ignite  You are that light.

I wish you much love and light and look forward to the next post.

Michelle
