The power of gratitude and love

Hello and welcome back. I am as always grateful to those of you on this journey with me as we look to bring in more joy, peace and harmony into our lives.

Through all the ups and downs that life may present us with there is power in our ability to focus on that which we are grateful for and to come from a place of love.  I believe these two combined are life transforming.

As everything is energy, when we focus on what we are grateful for, our message is received by the universe, and this acknowledgement brings about further gifts and abundance. It may not always be in the form we intended, but if you pay attention, the blessings are around us are everywhere and continue to flow in.

Regardless of what you are going through or how challenging your life situation may be, I highly recommend making time, even if it is for five minutes a day, to spend time in gratitude. First thing in the morning is a wonderful place to start with giving thanks and gratitude to three things in your life. It does not matter how simple they are. It could be for the fact that the sun is shining, or the rain is falling and providing water and nourishment to the plants, trees and grass outside.

We are living in a time where there feels like there is a lot of division, a lot of fear and many people are carrying anxiety and tension in their bodies. I understand and relate to this, but I also believe that the emotion of love holds the highest power over all emotions.

There is a perspective that enables us to see things differently and clearly. If someone is rude to you or dismissive of you, you can take this personally and your own energetic vibration will of course drop. You then find yourself on a downward spiral, be it temporarily. The alternative is to see that person through a higher lens. They may have lashed out, or they may have said something that hurt your feelings. You have the right to stand up for yourself, to speak your truth, but if you can stand back and see the bigger picture you will realise that they did what they did out of fear, out of anger, or from a negative energy they are currently dealing with. This does not make it acceptable, but it does mean that you do not have to carry what they said to you. You can realise they are struggling within themselves. You can send them love and step back.

For the next few weeks if you so choose, give thanks to three things each morning as you wake that you are grateful for. During the day, give thanks again for anything that may catch your attention. This may be a call from a friend, a butterfly passing by or a bird singing. Then before your rest for the night give thanks for three things as you close your eyes. Realise that with the division, chaos, increasing costs of living around the world that many are struggling and this can bring about increased energies of fear. If you can come from a place of love, this will help shift your energy.

We all have struggles and challenges, but we are absolutely here at this point in time for a special reason. You are extremely powerful and by embracing a perspective of love and gratitude you will see the many blessings that are all around you. They have always been there. The more you notice and give thanks to, the more that will continue to flow.

I wish you much love and light and look forward to the next post.

Michelle
