Awakening in the dream state that is your life

Hello and welcome back! I am as always appreciative to those of you who are on this journey with me.
As you are aware, everything is energy and everything is connected, this includes all of us. We are all part of the one original Creator source, and we can be affected by the energy of others in both in both positive and negative ways.
Our thoughts and emotions are also energy that can affect our own being in both positive and negative ways. Once you realise that these thoughts and emotions are an energetic form, that we the human, are not actually our thoughts and emotions, we can choose not to follow the thoughts and to not allow the emotion to take control.
We can feel the emotion that is there, acknowledge and accept that it is there without needing to be taken over by it. The same with our thoughts. If we are having negative thoughts about ourselves, others or a situation and if we are paying enough attention, we can stop following the thoughts and let them go.
This awareness of thought and emotion, which does require us to be present in the moment, is the beginning of awakening in the dream state of our life. Many people allow life to just happen to them and follow the same thought and emotional patterns that they have been conditioned with throughout their life.
As you embrace each moment and give attention to how you are reacting on the level of thought and emotion, you begin to learn that you have the ability to control how you react to situations and people. It is like realising that you are in a dream when you sleep and you briefly realise that you can now control what is happening within the dream. This is the same with your life. You begin to pay attention to what is happening within you. You start to become more aware and see things clearer. You start to feel more alive and alert. You become more connected to the divine source within, and you will be able to face challenges with a clearer and calmer mind.
This may take some practice to stay present and alert. The challenges that arise are our best learning opportunities. This practice will also help us when we are around others who may be caught up in negative thoughts and emotions. We can realise that they are currently not present but rather taken over by thought and emotion. This is not who they truly are. They are currently disconnected from the divine source within. We can now choose to not be affected by them and maintain our presence and awareness.
No matter the situation, acceptance of what we are feeling or thinking first will allow us to now work out if there is any action that may be required to be taken.
For the next few weeks, pay attention to your thoughts and emotions as they arrive. We are human so negative emotions will arise. This is not about trying to stop these emotions. This is about waking up and becoming conscious of them rather than being taken over by them. This then allows for some space where we have the ability to react differently than we previously may have.
The goal of awakening is to realise just how powerful we truly are. You do not have to let life just keep happening to you. You have the ability to transform your life if you so choose.
